I don’t know about your weekends (but I’m happily willing to), but I love to make oatmeal for breakfast. Then you have time, also to make it pretty, not only delicious. Well, it doesn’t take too much time to prepare, but during the weekdays I mostly rush in the morning to go to work.
Anyways, you will see lots of oatmeal bowls on this blog. You have so many ways to make it pretty and you have a lot of combinations when it is about the taste of it. If you make it with any kind of nut milk it is also dairy free wich is very good for your digestion. Also, you can find gluten free oats too, so you can avoid anything what messes with your guts. Today, I’m going to share this dreamy creamy double chocolate oatmeal served with banana, fig and coconut flakes.
- 300 ml coconut-rice milk
- 4 tbsp (big) oat bran
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 bananas
- 1 fig
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- vegan coconut chocolate
- coconut flakes
- Warm up the milk and add the vanilla extract.
- Add the oat bran and stir it constantly. If you do that it will make it super creamy.
- Mash one banana with a fork and add to the oatmeal. Cook it until it is almost done.
- Add the cocoa powder and stir it until its done. Put it in a bowl and decorate it however, you want to. I sliced a banana and the fig. Added extra chocolate and coconut flakes.
I think this is a great breakfast option. It can fill you for a long time and it is healthy. You can use your imagination and creativity so it can feed you and your eyes as well.
