Oatmeal? If you ask me, I would say, anytime! You can make it basically anyhow and add any kind of toppings, doesn’t matter what you prefer, you will find your own style. Even savory! Well, that one I haven’t tried yet, so I cannot talk about that. But! The sweet once! They can come whenever I feel like it.
This one is a special one, I’ve done it for a competition, and it went very well, but that doesn’t matter now. What matters, how much I loved it, and that I can tell you, if you like berries you will as well. I wanted to make something very tasty, creamy full with vitamins. I love berries so this oatmeal was kind of obvious when I was thinking what to make. To give it a punch, I added a little lime zest. I think berry goes perfectly with citric flavor so this is a great combination for me.
- 300 ml rice-coconut milk
- 4 tbsp rolled oatmeal
- 7 strawberries
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- small pinch of salt
- small pinch of anise
- organic dried berry mix
- fresh blueberries
- quinoa puffs
- lime zest
- anise starts (only decoration)
- Puree the strawberries and warm the milk up.
- Add the puree, the rolled oat, salt, vanilla extract and the pinch of anise to it and cook it until it is creamy.
- Top it with the goodies, and you’re ready to eat it!
It was like a berry bomb in my mouth and I loved every bite of it!
